Our client is looking for a Melbourne-based Strategy & Insights Manager to join their growing startup with an ex top tier leadership team who are renowned for their ambition and smashing results and outcomes.  

The person for this role will also be responsible for developing hypothesis-driven data analysis and research products for both internal and external audiences. 

As a Melbourne-based Strategy & Insights Manager, you are task to provide their clients with innovative and sustainable solutions that meet the needs of the people who live in them. They are a leading property firm that takes a long-term perspective, advising buyers and managing properties that build wealth across generations. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Data analytics and research. 
  • Develop hypothesis driven data analysis and research products 
  • Insights, analysis for white papers, media releases and presentations 

Background & Experience: 

  • Strategy data analysis background ideally from a top tier management consulting firm such as McKinsey, Bain, BCG or also firms such as Strategy&, Monitor Deloitte etc.  
  • Passionate about the Australian real estate sector 
  • A background in urban economics or housing/land valuation would be a major advantage.  
  • Responsible for identifying issues and structure analysis of problems.  
  • Quick to identify what is important and develop ideas of how best to tackle the key issues. 
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and the complexity of our work – think about topics like user behavior and online engagement.  
  • Able to research and analyse quantitative and qualitative data to drive analytical and intellectual rigor.  
  • Need to be curious and eager to learn – think about ways to improve your skills or take on new challenges. 
  • Communicate complex issues in a way that is easily understood by the reader.

Our client is looking for a Sydney-based Investment Associate. 

    Our client is currently looking for a junior member to join their investment team in a newly created Sydney-based Investment Associate role. This person will handle the following:  

    • Evaluate new investment opportunities, develop recommendations for the investment team, and conduct industry research, company analysis, and detailed commercial and financial due diligence. 
    • Understand the financial modelling techniques used in forecasting company performance, expected investment returns, and identification of key assumptions and sensitivities.  
    • Complete fact-based analytical projects on the highest priority issues for the boards and management teams 
    • Utilise your skills in programming, statistics, and business analysis to produce high-quality reports. 
    • Prepare presentations, documents, and reports for our clients, advisory board, and other stakeholders.  
    • Engage with management teams to identify and resolve issues. 

    Key Qualifications for this role are the following: 

    • 2-4 years of experience in a top-tier consulting firm, investment bank, investment firm or advisory firm 
    • Solid understanding of corporate finance, M&A, due dilligence and investment concepts and the ability to build high quality financial models 
    • Effective communication skills, both written and spoken, and the ability to create and present client-facing documents 
    • The ability to assimilate data, synthesize insights and clearly articulate complex ideas 
    • An entrepreneurial drive and willingness to dig in and make things happen 
    • Passion for the investment process and working with smaller businesses 
    • Evidence of commercial, analytical, and financial acumen

We are looking to hire for them a Sydney-based Portfolio Director.

      You will assess the improvement opportunities within a portfolio company and work with the senior stakeholders to really drive change. This role is for someone who wants to feel they are making a difference. 

      The Sydney-based Portfolio Director would support strategic growth and drive improvements in portfolio of privately owned companies. You will be responsible for providing operational direction, including liaising between portfolio companies and their financial advisors, conducting due diligence on incoming and outgoing investments, and maintaining an active presence on company boards. 

      The primary responsibilities of the role include:  

      • Driving accelerated growth in portfolio companies by implementing meaningful and sustainable changes. 
      • Support companies during the due diligence process to ensure a smooth process using their business builder tool kit. 
      • Develop an overall strategic plan for the company’s investment.  
      • Define the target market, develop a business model, and assess the competitive landscape.  
      • Provide guidance on how to create a robust and high impact first 100-day plan to get portfolio investments off the ground.

      Qualifications for this role include: 

      • 4-6 years of experience in a top-tier consulting firm ideally with some operational experience with an SME.

        Our client is one of the top companies in TMT space and they are looking for a Sydney-based Director of Customer Strategy. This role is reporting to a dynamic Executive who is an ex top tier consultant with many years of experience driving Customer Strategies.  

        In this role, you will be a Key Contributor to the company’s vision to attain, maintain, and make customer experience a fundamental pillar of strategy throughout the company.  

        This Sydney-based Director of Customer Strategy will manage a sizable team that is responsible for translating high-level customer objectives into defined, practical customer strategies for each category/segment cohort within our base management framework – translating customer objectives into actionable plans. This involves understanding customer needs and wants, defining market segments, understanding customer value chain dynamics and how to apply it to target the customer, and much more. 

        Key Responsibilities:  

        • Develop and deliver an end-to-end consumer lifecycle strategy that optimises revenue, value, and customer engagement.  
        • Measure and track your success and make the necessary adjustments to keep the business unit profitable and growing. 
        • Partner with data and research teams to understand customer satisfaction, engagement, retention, and growth drivers.  
        • Develop a roadmap of Customer initiatives. Your team will need to size, cost, prioritise, and manage the implementation of the roadmap. 
        • Engage existing customers through strategic digital channels, while creating brilliant customer moments.  
        • Nurture a culture of accountability and responsibility, and where your people have a clear direction

        Key Qualifications: 

        • 12 years plus professional experience including experience in brand name strategy consulting firm ideally married with a leadership role in a complex organisation  
        • Executive and Board level experience  
        • Proven customer base management experience, with an ability to understand and work closely with channels  
        • Demonstrated ability to drive strong commercial outcomes from campaign activity  
        • Proven leadership of complex projects with multiple stakeholders 
        • Demonstrated track record in creating and leading high-performance teams 
        • Ability to make tough decisions, to quickly analyse a problem or opportunity, and identify and implement a solution  
        • Strong stakeholder management and relationship building and negotiation skills; an ability to influence without direct reporting line  
        • Ability to harness insights to drive strategic decision making, delivering automated and personalised communications

This consulting firm has created a specialised Strategy team and require a Sydney-based ESG Executive Manager to join them.  

          With ESG becoming more important, topics such as climate risk, decarbonization strategy, social impact, and robustness of internal governance, have encouraged our client to create a dedicated ESG Strategy function. And they are currently looking for a Sydney-based ESG Executive Manager to lead this key projects. The team will help companies assess the risks and benefits of pursuing an ESG strategy  

          Your responsibilities include:  

          • Identify and quantify ESG risks and opportunities for the ‘target’ businesses in the context of a deal. 
          • Ensure that the target business is positioned to address those risks and also capture the value upside opportunities from climate change. 
          • Analyse different mitigation and adaptation strategies 
          • Embed ESG risk, strategy, targets and governance into financial reporting frameworks.  
          • Assess the range of expected reactions from stakeholders 
          • Anticipate risks and create strategies accordingly 
          • Develop relationships with key clients and internal stakeholders 
          • Become knowledgeable about the market and key sectors, and be involved in delivering ESG due diligence engagements 
          • Improve the quality of research as the team has a vital role in supporting the Transaction Services Partners in increasing the penetration of ESG Due Diligence on deals.  
          • Help these highly skilled professionals develop their skills, and to mentor and coach junior staff. 
          • Provide written and verbal advice when required 

          Key Qualifications: 

          • Experience in consulting or strategy roles  
          • At least 5-10 years of highly relevant experience in the sustainability area.  
          • Ambition to work in a fast paced, result-oriented, multi-cultural, multi-disciplinary environment  
          • Proven track record managing time critical projects  
          • Ability to extract insights and meaning from quantitative information. Demonstrated ability to communicate complex ideas clearly  
          • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with a range of different stakeholders  
          • Passionate about the climate change agenda  
          • Motivated by the prospect of building and leading a market leading ESG due diligence team 
          • Experience in deals environment preferred but not mandatory
