The primary goal of this Brisbane-based Customer Strategy Manager/Lead is to create a strategy that will improve the customer experience and make the company stand out from the competition. They will be responsible for ensuring that all departments are working together to deliver an exceptional customer experience. In addition, they will also be responsible for developing the company’s impact statement. 

We are looking for a candidate who can help the client design an innovative and consistent customer experience across all channels. This role will require you to work closely with various business and technology owners to scope and execute the project as needed.  

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Create and define our overall customer experience strategy and roadmap, with a focus on transforming the end-to-end customer journey. 
  • Ensure that our customer value proposition is clearly communicated across the business.  
  • Build close relationships with various technology and business owners, to execute effectively.  
  • Manage and support project scoping and delivery. 
  • Able to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders to design and deliver customer-driven projects. This includes our frontline staff, who are the ones who interact with customers daily.  
  • Need to work proactively with internal stakeholders across different departments within the company.  
  • Need to be able to establish and lead cross-functional teams to develop new capabilities and products. 
  • Look for new and innovative ways to improve the customer experience, and that means using journey mapping and ideation to come up with future experiences.  
  • Understanding the voice of the customer and insights to interpret what their customers need. 
  • Work closely with our digital team to design and scope initiatives that will improve customers’ digital experience.  

Background & Skills: 

  • A background in Management Consulting, preferably minimum 3 years + and ideally coming from a top tier consulting firm, or alternatively an LEK, Kearney, Oliver Wyman, Strategy&, Monitor Deloitte etc.  
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Engineering, or a related discipline – MBA or post-graduate qualification Experience  
  • Prior experience in or a strong passion for customer strategy. 
  • Advantageous if you have integrated customer experience strategy underpinned by VOC, analytics, and digital tools. 
  • Design led thinking / service design thinking.

    Key responsibilities: 

    • Developing a 2-3 year strategy roadmap for the strategy  
    • Conduct competitor and market analyses to identify emerging competitors and their unique propositions.  
    • Identify partnership opportunities to solve strategic needs.  
    • Determine our key customer target segments, taking into account our risk appetite, policy and regulatory obligations.

    Background & Skills: 

    • 5-10 years of strategy or management consulting experience in a top tier consulting firm, strategy boutique firm, or financial services corporate strategy role. 
    • Proven experience across a range of the Strategy service portfolio including market and industry dynamics assessments, corporate and portfolio strategy, business unit strategy, customer and segment strategy, capability and operating model strategy, and strategy execution services 
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including the ability to inspire, mentor, coach and develop others​ 
    • Excellent leadership, time management facilitation and organizational skills  
    • Excellent collaboration skills with an ability to work with a wide variety of stakeholders in different parts of the business and at different levels of seniority 
    • Customer-first mindset and interest in banking, finance, economics, customer experience and digital 
    • Strong learning orientation with a commitment to listening and learning from colleagues, experimenting with new ideas and approaches, and keeping up-to-date with the latest technical developments in data and analytics

      The Brisbane-based Senior Strategy Manager, Commercial Performance and Insights is an exceptional opportunity working with an ex Top Tier strategy leader.  

      This role is responsible for providing thought leadership on data-driven revenue opportunities and refining the commercial strategy and roadmap across all commercial functions in order to achieve the company’s overarching revenue ambition.  

      This includes being actively involved in preparing for CEO/Board updates and management level performance tracking to generate insights that are ongoing. 

      As a leader of the commercial analysis team, you are responsible for providing insightful, proactive, and accurate analysis of revenue performance. This is done in order to identify the drivers of commercial/revenue performance, and to provide the commercial division with robust data-led analytics. In doing so, you will help functional leaders turn opportunities into tangible commercial actions. 

      Key Responsibilities 

      • Spearheading the development of our commercial strategy and roadmap in order to achieve our overarching revenue ambition.  
      • Working across different commercial functions (such as channels, customer segments, marketing, revenue management) in order to generate revenue growth. 
      • Actively support preparation for ELT/Board updates by developing management level reporting. 
      • Proactively identifying opportunities and leading cross-functional coordination when required.  
      • Working closely with internal stakeholders across the Commercial functions and across the Group

      Background & Skills 

      • Experience in strategy/management consulting coming from a Top Tier consulting firm (MBB, or alternatively Kearney, OW, Strategy&, Monitor Deloitte etc) with 5+ years experience in leading strategy development, roadmap and planning, with orientation towards commercial performance and outcomes 
      • Experience in translating business questions into analysis to prove/disprove hypothesis 
      • Experience in leading a team of commercial analyst and continuously optimise for priorities 
      • Experience interrogating and analysing large bodies of data to generate actionable insights 
      • Experience in preparing CEO/Board level presentation 
      • Ability to synthesis insights into a management level narrative to drive decision making 
      • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral 
      • Excellent stakeholder management skills 
      • Advanced Excel and PowerBI skills

          Key Responsibilities: 

          • Develop key data metrics and a dashboard to provide real-time, meaningful insights into our people-related data. This will allow us to make better decisions based on accurate information 
          • Provide regular reports that give a clear understanding of the flow of information on people metrics to the ELT, Board Subcommittee and Board. 
          • Collect data from a variety of sources in order to get a holistic view of employee engagement.

          • Undertake scheduled and ad hoc reporting to the business so that you always have the latest information at your fingertips. 

          Background & Experience 

          • 3+ years working in management consulting with a top tier MBB firm or the likes of Kearney, Oliver Wyman etc.  
          • Prior experience in people, org is advantageous.  
          • 5+ years’ experience in a corporate environment  
          • Identify and participate in continuous improvement initiatives  
          • Good at diagnosing customer needs and finding a way to satisfy them  
          • Well-developed presentation skills and can handle multiple projects simultaneously  
          • Ability to adapt and manage change
