As a Melbourne-based Senior Strategy Analyst, you will be responsible for providing critical input in strategic conceptualisation and implementation. You will be expected to lead key workstreams – such as planning, internal analytical support, and strategic initiatives – to deliver key business outcomes.  

You will work with senior leadership in developing and executing impactful strategic initiatives and play a role in supporting other business units and crews/ squads by delivering analysis and insights. In addition, you will undertake environmental analysis, conducting market and competitor research to provide insights that will help shape future decisions. 

Key Responsibilities include: 

  • Identify and assess strategic issues and opportunities.  
  • Develop qualitative and quantitative analyses.  
  • Frame, scope, and structure strategic problems by identifying applicable strategic frameworks.  
  • Solve problems by using the 7 steps of problem solving and the influence model. 
  • Evaluate issues and initiatives, plan, and structure work streams tasks, manage timelines, and keep stakeholders informed about project progress.  
  • Understand the scope of work and the expectations of stakeholders, so you can make informed decisions about how to allocate resources. 
  • Bring clarity and understanding to a complex set of data by using data analytics techniques, data manipulation methods, information management principles, and systems knowledge.  
  • Engage with and leverage relevant stakeholders and subject matter experts when performing and validating analysis.  
  • Provide strategic recommendations, benefiting all parties concerned. 

Key Qualifications include: 

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in business strategy or management consulting 
  • Demonstrated success in structured problem solving that includes problem definition, hypotheses testing, analysis plan and facilitating discussion and focus groups 
  • Demonstrated success in advanced financial, business case and other quantitative analyses (e.g. forecasting, scenario modelling etc.)  
  • Project management experience with the ability to lead workstreams. 
  • Proficient in common strategy frameworks and methodologies 
  • Ability to identify and develop ideas that can add value to the business 
  • Identify relevant data sets  
  • Tertiary qualifications in commerce, economics, finance, statistics, or other business-related discipline

    The Sydney-based Head of Growth Strategy is responsible for leading the development of the broader Commercial strategy and transformation roadmap, to achieve our aspiration. Their main responsibility is to identify opportunities to accelerate growth. This role is also open to Melbourne, or Brisbane candidates as well.

    In this role, you will work with a team of Strategy Managers and Analysts to help identify and assess opportunities. These opportunities could be anything from new product development to working with a customer to improve service. There would be sprints, with the goal of coordinating with relevant functions and teams within the company.  

    As Sydney-based Head of Growth Strategy, the role is to understand our customers’ needs and design initiatives that meet or exceed those needs. You will also be responsible for preparing outputs to communicate recommendations, analysis, and value capture. 

    This focuses on performance benchmarking and insights that help executives make strategic decisions and developing solutions to commercial challenges.  

    Key Responsibilities: 

    • Lead strategic projects and deep dives, proactively identifying and scoping commercial opportunities. 
    • Capture commercial insights, create value optimization models, collaborate with Commercial Leadership Team on prioritization of effort 
    • Thought partner to GM Commercial Strategy to prioritise direction and goals 
    • Track the effectiveness of an initiative, as well as measure areas such as user uptake. 
    • Develop trade-offs and recommendations for our Commercial team. 
    • Responsible for communicating any risks or issues that may arise with a project. 
    • Lead and contribute to the team by coaching, mentoring and developing a Manager and team of Analysts.  
    • Analyse data to identify trends, gaps and opportunities, and understanding drivers of commercial performance analytical tools.  
    • Promote a data lead culture using data and analytical decision making across the Commercial Division. 

    Background & Skills: 

    • Experience in top-tier strategy/management consulting (4+ years), or similar functions in industry (7+ years), with experience in leading strategy development, roadmap, with orientation towards commercial performance and outcomes  
    • Ability to translate business questions into critical analysis to prove/disprove hypothesis  
    • Preparing CEO/Board level presentation  
    • Ability to synthesis insights into a management level narrative to drive decision making  
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral  
    • Excellent stakeholder management skills  
    • Competent user of Excel 
    • Strong strategy toolkit  
    • Cross-industry benchmarking and application in sales and distribution performance  
    • Attention to detail with respect to interrogation of data quality and the generation of commercial insights

The Head Corporate Development is responsible for the inorganic strategic planning and growth of the group and is integral to the Mid-Term value creation goal. 

      The Melbourne-based Global Head Corporate Development is responsible for all aspects of M&A, such as identifying and carrying out partnership negotiations, scoping of potential acquisitions, end to end transactions and post merger integration.       Key Accountabilities for this role are the following:
