Reporting to the Head of Strategy, you will support the company and team to develop, implement and manage the company’s long-term strategy. From carrying out research and analysis to providing strategic advice for key decisions, your duties will involve helping steer the strategy formulation and execution. Additionally, you will use your problem-solving skills to identify opportunities and help ensure that the organisation meets its objectives. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Support the ongoing development and planning for the corporate strategy plan by providing quality information, updates on trends, and various reports as required.  
  • Assist with the planning and reporting processes to ensure that all necessary data is available for you to make the best decisions for the business. 
  • Transform strategies into tangible and measurable goals.  
  • Collaborate closely with business leaders to ensure successful implementation of plans. 
  • Collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the business. 
  • Conduct research and analysis to gain insights about the performance of the organisation, industry trends and best practices.  
  • Help executive sponsors and project teams succeed in their endeavours by providing guidance and support on effective project delivery and change management.  

Background & Qualifications:  

  • 2 to 3 years management consulting experience from McKinsey, Bain, or BCG or the likes of Oliver Wyman, LEK, Strategy& etc. 
  • Experience undertaking qualitative and quantitative analysis; including competitor and member analysis, operating environment analysis, financial analysis and preparation of business cases. 
  • Experience analysing data and drawing implications from various sources which might include member, market and/or financial data.  
  • Stakeholder management, facilitation and influencing skills at all organisational levels. 
  • Able to collaborate and implement cross functional efforts within the business.

They are looking for a Senior Strategy Analyst that will sit in their Melbourne office.  

    As Senior Strategy Analyst, you will be reporting to the Senior Commercial Strategy Manager and will be playing an important role in helping answer key questions using systems and software. You will also help develop actionable insights and recommendations that can be placed into practice.  

    Key Responsibilities for the role include:  

    • Leverage cutting-edge analytics to answer key questions quickly and effectively.  
    • Provide a comprehensive analysis that can be used to develop strategic plans. 
    • Help identify and evaluate strategic issues and opportunities by generating a comprehensive report with qualitative and quantitative data.  
    • Provide frameworks that will help you structure the problem, define its scope and apply relevant strategic principles.  
    • Identify the most effective communication techniques and methods for presenting key strategic recommendations.

    Qualifications:

    • Demonstrated success in structured problem solving that includes problem definition, hypotheses testing, analysis plan and facilitating discussion and focus groups;  
    • Substantial project management experience utilising a robust methodology;  
    • Familiarity with common strategy development frameworks and methodologies. 
    • Good listening skills and ability to ‘join the dots’ to understand the broader context of strategic issues. 
    • Identify relevant data sets and interrogating them to provide insight that can shape thinking and answer strategic questions.

      Our client is a leading retailer and is looking for a Senior Analyst in Sydney to join their team. The person should strive to deliver the best customer experience possible by leveraging data and generate meaningful insights for customers. This includes creating relevant offers for customers and shape the category and strategy and the company’s product offerings. 

      We are searching for an individual who is capable of overseeing the entire customer experience process for a large selection of categories. Your role includes developing and implementing procedures, as well as providing training to employees on how to use them. Your role will be essential in ensuring the delivery of quality work while creating a customer-centric atmosphere. 

      Key Qualifications include:  

      • Work collaboratively with Category Managers and other stakeholders in order to develop data-driven insights that can be used to shape strategies and create customer-focused results.  
      • Provide clear recommendations and guidance for category strategies to ensure these strategies are implemented. 
      • Execute successful strategies for category programs. 
      • Analyse customer behaviour, market trends, category performance, pricing, and supplier dynamics in order to identify opportunity zones.

      • Use analytical tools such as category segmentation, clustering, range performance, and product optimisation to ensure that our decisions are data-driven and well-informed.

      Key Qualifications:  

      • 2-3 years+ experience in strategy, preferably from a consulting firm 
      • Depth of experience and knowledge of complex problem-solving  
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills  
      • Ability to develop clear, compelling and high quality storylines and presentations  
      • Demonstrated experience owning end-to-end large, complex projects to drive results  
      • Experience managing small multi-disciplinary teams to deliver successful outcomes  
      • Strong stakeholder skills and ability to act as strategic thought partner  
      • Retail and/or analytics experience preferred but not required

          As part of this role, you’ll have the chance to work with an exciting array of retail clients and gain valuable insights to the industry. As a senior strategist, you will help lead the way to a more sustainable retail future, while still keeping the original mission of the company in mind.  

          Key Responsibilities: 

          • Growth strategy and private equity projects  
          • Assist on business transformation projects and handle the project management side of things. 
          • Engage with senior executives and stakeholders frequently, while also helping the team develop client briefs and proposals.  
          • Support the team with/or leading workshops and presentations 
          • Lead or assist with workshops and presentations.
