Sydney-based Principal People Strategy & Analytics
Our client provides a wide range of services in the transportation sector through their expansive global network. They continue to evolve and grow in order to stay ahead of the competition and provide the best possible service for our customers.
Our client is preferably looking for someone based in Sydney, but is open to considering Melbourne and Brisbane too!
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop key data metrics and a dashboard to provide real-time, meaningful insights into our people-related data. This will allow us to make better decisions based on accurate information
- Provide regular reports that give a clear understanding of the flow of information on people metrics to the ELT, Board Subcommittee and Board.
- Collect data from a variety of sources in order to get a holistic view of employee engagement.
- Identify trends and patterns (e.g. recruitment, hiring practices, motivation, turnover, compliance with employment laws and regulations) and provide insights to leaders through reports/presentations. With this valuable information, leaders can make informed decisions about actions that need to be taken.
- Involve identifying and recommending reasonable short-term and long-term goals, milestones, and benchmarks for key performance metrics.
- Recommend policies and activities that will improve our organisational culture – including suggestions to attract and hire qualified candidates, motivate and retain employees, address staffing issues, and maintain legal compliance.
- Improve the quality and consistency of our people data reporting. This includes both standard reports within our HRIS system, as well as ad hoc reports that are generated from other associated systems.
- Responsible for undertaking scheduled and ad hoc reporting, using Workday datasets and data from other sources such as internal reports, compliance and government reporting obligations.
- Facilitate the implementation of projects and related initiatives.
- Work hard to ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and best practices.
- Undertake scheduled and ad hoc reporting to the business so that you always have the latest information at your fingertips.
Background & Experience
- 3+ years working in management consulting with a top tier MBB firm or the likes of Kearney, Oliver Wyman etc.
- Prior experience in people, org is advantageous.
- 5+ years’ experience in a corporate environment
- Identify and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
- Good at diagnosing customer needs and finding a way to satisfy them
- Well-developed presentation skills and can handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to adapt and manage change
- Ability to influence and advise major stakeholders
